Judie Haynes

Judie Haynes is the author and co-author of five books on helping classroom teachers with their second language population: Getting Started With English Language Learners,Newcomer Program Grades K-2,Newcomer Program Grades 3-6, Classroom Teacher's ESL Survival Kit #1,and Classroom Teacher's ESL Survival Kit #2. She has also co-authored a chapter in TESOL's Integrating Standards into Classroom Practice. Judie is currently writing a column on elementary ESL entitled Circle Time for a TESOL magaine, Essential Teacher.

Judie has taught elementary ESL for 28 years; the last 22 in River Edge, New Jersey. Judie is an active member of NJTESOL/NJBE and is currently editor of the NJTESOL/NJBE Voices, an affiliate newsletter. She is also a past Chair of TESOL's Elementary Interest Section and has served on the TESOL Nominating Committee.

Judie presents workshops throughout New Jersey and has presented at TESOL every year for the past eighteen years. She has also presented keynote addresses at TESOL Affiliates AMTESOL, NYTESOL, TNTESOL, and the Rhode Island chapter of MATESOL.

Judith O'Loughlin

Judith O'Loughlin recently retired as a K-8 ESL teacher in Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J. She is a Past President of NJTESOL/NJBE and an e-list monitor for the Elementary Interest Secection of TESOL. Judy has presented numerous workshops in New Jersey and at TESOL.

Jennifer Conlon

Elizabeth Claire is the author of 22 texts and teacher resources in the field of English as a Second Language. She is a veteran teacher with 37 years experience teaching ESL, literacy, science, social studies, math, and child care to newcomers of all ages, from all over the world. She has taught in New York City Public Schools and in New Jersey elementary and adult schools.

Elizabeth earned her Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from New York University. She received her B.A. in Spanish, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated magna cum laude from the City College of New York.

Elizabeth Claire was co-founder of Easy English NEWS in February, 1996. She is currently the publisher, editor and main writer for Easy English NEWS.
